Every course section I taught last year was evaluated by the series of questions in the table below. The students were asked to respond on a five-point Likert scale: strongly agree (1) to strongly disagree (5). Thus, a low score is good and a high score shows room for improvement. Starting with the second session of Fall 2007, the College changed the evaluation forms so that higher numbers are now desirable: strongly agree (5) to strongly disagree (1).
The full Scantron results are available on paper from the VPAA's office. Here, I tabulate the extreme three responses (or more, including ties) for each course section. The table below lists each item and the number of courses, out of ten, in which it was among the best and worst scores.
Note that all of the nineteen items were in one or more courses' worst or best lists. Ranking of items and discussion.

The "disagree" columns had one mark all the way down. I suspect that it was the
same student, who either mis-marked the form or was very unhappy with me. The
same students took the follow-up course, MBA 604, the next session, and the
student either marked correctly or felt better, as you can see below.

I really enjoyed Doug Anderson as a professor and he seemed to truly care about his students and their grades. He was always available for outside help and encouraged students to come see him for it. I found this course very educational and appropriate. This class allowed for the free roaming for each individual student and the topic of their choice. |

Mr. Anderson really knew his stuff and what he was talking about. His internet site that had all our work and class material on it was very useful. I was able to access material, and keep up with m work easily because of it. He is more than willing to help students whenever they needed.
I liked the fact that we were able to keep submitting drafts. It let people get far behind since the due dates were not enforced. I think we should not have the entire class online. It seemed like this should have been an online course since attendance was not enforced.
Doug taught the class like a business class and not a writing class. He never clearly stated what he wanted in the assignments and when they were due. This cause a lot of miscommunication and poor grading for the class. During class times we would play around on the internet and would change his mind daily about what he wanted done, how it was to be done and hen it should be handed in. I haven't learned anything from this class because I'm not a business major. He should only be allowed to teach classes relevant to business students and their degrees.
I thought that ere was no reason to come to class because we never learned anything. I felt like it was an hour long of directions to do on our paper.
I found this course to be a lot of work for 3 credits and it not being in my major.
The instructor wasn't very "class tuned" to speak. He didn't involve the class enough. A lot of people stopped attending. The class was not exciting or useful in most parts.
